Self land and launching your kite

Self launching inflatable

Place the kite down on the sand wiht the leading edge up towards the wind. One tip of the kite is on the sand and the other tip is in the air. The kite will look like a vertical "c" with the leading edge facing the wind.

Fold one kite tip and place enough sand on it to keep it from moving around.

Hold control bar and position yourself such that the kite is at the wind window edge respective to your position. ( The kite is either 85 degrees to the left or right of you with its leading edge facing the wind.)

Pull on the control abr and line nearest to the ground to unfold the tip and release the kite from the sand.

Pull the top line ( line farthest from the ground) to move the kite to zenith.

It’s best to land the kite in shallow water as it is both safer and easier though this method works on land even though it is slightly more dangerous.

If leash is on left or right side of leader line, follow instructions for left or right side.

Move the kite to left/right side of wind window near the water or ground. (depending on leashed side)

Drop the bar and pull on the safety leash.

Hold the left/right line and keep walking toward the kite until you catch the leading edge of the kite.

Place kite on beach, leading edge down and facing the wind. Grab control bar and wind your lines.
